One of Bali’s most iconic sites, Tanah Lot is the birthplace of Balinese Hinduism, an ancient temple which remains a place of great importance. This half-day tour combines up-close wildlife observations with spiritual discovery at a sacred temple, followed by unforgettable sunsets at Tanah Lot.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
From 1:30 PM at the hotel, your day begins at Sangeh Monkey Forest, a 13-hectare natural reserve home to 22 bird species, best known for its monkey kingdom tucked within. Next, the Taman Ayun Temple, built by the ancient Mengwi kingdom in 1634 welcomes you to its sacred shrine dedicated to its ancestors. The tour rounds off at Tanah Lot, the birthplace of Balinese Hinduism in the ancient temple, perched on the top of a rocky outcrop. Here, feast your eyes on ethereal sunset views while walking through restaurants and shops at the cultural park.
